Cet réalisation poursuit l’exploration critique de Thibault Messac sur les mutations urbaines contemporaines.
Inspirée du morceau d’IAM, l’œuvre s’ancre dans la transformation de Bordeaux, où le centre historique et les nouveaux quartiers de Bacalan et Euratlantique s’entrelacent dans une cartographie en tension.
À travers un assemblage de photographie et de manipulation numérique, l’artiste compose une ville hybride, organique, en constante déformation. Les repères familiers deviennent instables et plongent le spectateur dans un espace urbain en mutation.
Entre dystopie et métaphore du développement contemporain, l’œuvre interroge notre rapport au progrès et à l’avenir, révélant une ville perçue comme un organisme vivant, traversé par ses propres contradictions.

This work continues Thibault Messac’s critical exploration of contemporary urban transformations.
Inspired by the song by IAM, the piece is rooted in the transformation of Bordeaux, where the historic city center intertwines with the newer districts of Bacalan and Euratlantique, forming a cartography shaped by tension and expansion.
Through a combination of photography and digital manipulation, the artist constructs a hybrid, organic city in a state of constant metamorphosis. Familiar landmarks become unstable, immersing the viewer in an urban landscape undergoing continuous change.
Balancing between dystopia and a metaphor for contemporary development, the work questions our relationship to progress and the future, revealing the city as a living organism marked by its own internal contradictions.
