Demokratia se concentre sur la ville d’Athènes et les vestiges de l’Acropole, lieu fondateur de la démocratie et repère majeur de la civilisation occidentale.
Dans cette image, les ruines apparaissent dans un équilibre fragile, comme sur le point de s’effondrer. Cette instabilité fait écho aux tensions politiques contemporaines : montée des extrêmes, désinformation et déréalisation du réel, aujourd’hui amplifiées par l’essor de l’intelligence artificielle.
Le paysage, dépouillé de toute présence humaine et végétale, renforce une impression d’aridité et de basculement. À travers ce photomontage issu du réel, l’œuvre interroge le statut des images et leur impact politique et social dans nos sociétés contemporaines.

Demokratia focuses on the city of Athens and the remains of the Acropolis, a foundational site of democracy and a major landmark of Western civilization.
In this image, the ruins appear in a fragile balance, as if on the verge of collapse. This instability echoes contemporary political tensions: the rise of extremism, the spread of misinformation, and the increasing distortion of reality, further amplified today by the development of artificial intelligence.
The landscape, stripped of both human presence and vegetation, reinforces a sense of aridity and impending rupture. Through this photomontage based on real photographic material, the work questions the status of images and their political and social impact in contemporary society.
